V98

A V98 from 1946 Series 2.

Series 2 differed with the rear light change, front mud guard lost it's removable cover, seat springs changed to the conical type, silencer to a more squarer version and finally the side panels featured a gasket seal. Pictured is frame number after 2400 from when the above modifications were made to the V98.

Called the 98 for it's 98cc Engine.

Also note that in these first models there was no such thing as a stand, you used to have to lean the Vespa to one side and rest the foot plate on a kerb.
